About God
There is one God who has eternally existed. He is one with His son Jesus and the Holy Spirit. He is the the Creator and Sustainer of the universe, the Giver of life and the Author of our salvation. He is our Father in heaven. In Him we live and move and have our being. He is the great I AM and is from everlasting to everlasting. He is seated on His throne in heaven and is patient with us not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
About Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God. He has eternally existed and is one with God and the Holy Spirit. He is the image of the invisible God and the exact representation of His being. He is the radiance of God’s glory. He was with God in the beginning and the universe was created through Him. At God’s appointed time Jesus left heaven, became flesh, and dwelled among us upon the earth. He was Immanuel or “God with us.” He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and died on the cross for all the sins of mankind. God glorified Him by raising Him from the dead giving Him victory over both sin and death. He has ascended back into heaven and now sits on His throne at the right hand of God. All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Him. He is the head of the body which is His church. He is our Savior and our only way to the Father. Salvation is found only in Him. He is our only hope.
About the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is one with God the Father and Jesus Christ. He has eternally existed and is God’s Holy Spirit. He was in the beginning with God bringing order out of chaos in the creation of the universe. He inspired all those who wrote the books of the Bible and, thus, the Scriptures are God-breathed. He is God’s gift to all those who are saved and lives inside them. The Holy Spirit serves as our comforter, guide, and advocate to provide us guidance in living and understanding of the Bible as He prayerfully intercedes for us. He is in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ.
About the Bible
The Bible is the divinely inspired written word of God. It is the one and only authoritative rule of faith and practice for Christians and Christ’s church which is His body. It reveals God’s truth to mankind and the truth about God and His son Jesus Christ. It is the power of God unto salvation for it reveals the righteousness from God that comes by faith. It is without error and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. It is a lamp unto our feet and a light for our path.
About Humanity
All people are created in the image of God to live the adventure of following Jesus Christ. Although people have tremendous potential for good, they also have the freedom and inclination to do evil or commit sin against God which separates them from God. Thus, all people are in need of a savior – Jesus Christ.
About Salvation
Salvation is not something that can be purchased or earned by mankind. It is a free gift from God and is found only in Jesus Christ who died for our sins. It is available to everyone who accepts Jesus Christ as Lord through faith that is expressed through repentance of sin and baptism by immersion. Salvation bestows upon us the promise of eternal life with God in heaven.
About Eternity
People are created to exist forever. Every person will exist eternally in union with God in heaven through following Jesus Christ or they will exist eternally separated from God in hell because they refused to follow Jesus Christ.
